As the solo rabbi of Temple Judea Mizpah, Rabbi Memis-Foler participates in all aspects of the congregation from leading services and conducting life-cycle events, teaching High School students, leading worship for Middle and Elementary students to working with all the temple’s commissions, and more. In April 2013, Rabbi Memis-Foler led TJM's Journey to Israel, the second in recent years.

In the community, Rabbi Memis-Foler has participated in leadership positions with the Women’s Rabbinic Network, co-chairing the biennial Women’s Rabbinic Network Conference in May 2007, which hosted over 105 women rabbis in Chicago. She currently serves on the boards of the Association of Reform Zionists of America (ARZA), the Rabbinic Advisory Committee for Olin-Sang Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) and the Chicago Association of Reform Rabbis (CARR), for which she now serves as Secretary. She also is a Commissioner on the Village of Skokie Human Relations Commission. Her essays have been published in a variety of journals and books including Beginning the Journey: A Women’s Commentary on Torah and Reform Jewish Ethics and the Halakhah.  Rabbi Memis-Foler is featured in the exhibit Bat Mitzvah Comes of Age, which toured the country in the Spring of 2012.
